Richard Stegemeier, a USC trustee joins the USC Global Energy Network Advisory Board

Richard Stegemeier, a USC trustee joins the USC Global Energy Network Advisory Board. Previously, he was chief executive officer of the Unocal Corporation. Mr. Stegemeier was elected to the National Academy of Engineering for his leadership in research leading to improved oil recovery and the discovery of new oil and gas fields. He holds seven US patents, an MS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M and an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Pepperdine University. Some of the insightful outlook of Mr. Stegemeier on energy matters is highlighted in his 1995 book “Straight Talk: The Future of Energy and the Global Economy” Mr. Stegemeier has been a supporter of many USC Energy related activities. He gave a talk at the inauguration of USC Reservoir Monitoring Consortium, back in 2012.
