On Nov 20, 2015 a Mini-Workshop on Unconventional Resources Technology was held at the Ronald Tutor Hall at the University of Southern California (USC) for a delegation from the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The delegation also included Mr. Zhang Shuqi, International Sino-Energy Alliance. The workshop began with an introduction to the Petroleum Engineering Program at USC and a general overview of the Unconventional Resources Technology Program at the university. This was followed by in-depth presentations of the work done by the Reservoir Monitoring and Induced Seismicity Consortia. To follow up on these, detailed presentations on individual projects carried out under RMC and ISC were given to the delegation.
