Dr. Rashid Javanshir is a former top BP executive. His last job at BP was Senior VP for Strategy & Integration in Global Upstream, London (2012 – 2015). He served as Regional President for Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey, where he was leading one of the largest business units in BP with up to million barrels per day of oil equivalent production and exports. Previously, he was Scientific Director of The Institute of Deep Oil and Gas in Azerbaijan’s National Academy of Sciences (1988 – 1995). He holds PhD in Geophysics from Moscow Gubkin University. Currently he teaches at Imperial College Business School.
