Induced Seismicity Consortium (ISC) Annual Review Meeting 2015

The annual Induced Seismicity Consortium (ISC) meeting will be held on December 7, 2015 at Ronald Tutor Hall at the University of Southern California (USC). The organizations represented at the meeting include speakers from USC as well as external speakers. Jonathan Bishop (Chief Deputy Director, California Water Resources), keynote speaker for the Luncheon at the ISC meet, will be giving a talk on ‘Monitoring in Areas of Oil and Gas Well Stimulation’. Jens Birkholzer (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), Tarabay Antoun (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), Robert Vagnetti (NETL), Richard Hammack (NETL), Tim Carr (WVU), Thomas Goebel (University of California, Santa Cruz), Kim Hatfield (Regulatory Chair, Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association & President of Crawley Petroleum), Nick Umholtz (Fracgeo), Paul Young (University of Toronto) and Martin Karrenbach (Optasense) are the external speakers. From USC Dr. Fred Aminzadeh (Managing Director, Global Energy Network), Robert Walker, Nima Jabbari and Mehran Hosseini will be speaking at the meet. Dr. Iraj Ershaghi (Director, USC Petroleum Engineering Department) will be leading a discussion panel on ‘Planning for the California HF Field Observatory’ and Dr. Donald Paul (Executive Director, USC Energy Institue) will be convening the ‘Strategic and Technical Advisory Board (STAB) Meeting: Discussion on future research directions’.
