Dr. Birendra Jha hosted a meeting attended by Mr. Rustom Mody, Vice President and Chief Engineer of Enterprise Technology at Baker Hughes and Mr. Sachin Ghorpade, Business Development Engineer of Baker Hughes on August 17th. Prof. Ershaghi started the meeting with an overview of the USC Petroleum Engineering Program. Prof. Aminzadeh highlighted USC Global Energy Network (GEN) and its different programs such as Reservoir Monitoring Consortium (RMC). This was followed by discussion on Baker Hughes’ JewelSuite Subsurface Modeling software. They also highlighted the opportunities for the students to work on the software to extend its capabilities in modeling new processes. Several USC graduate students gave a number of poster presentations on their related work.
