USC at the DOE Peer Review

Prof. Aminzadeh, the executive director of USC Center for Geothermal Studies presented the recent accomplishments of USC‘s DOE supported project, at DOE’s annual peer review meeting in Bethesda MD. Prof. Aminzadeh is the PI of this project titled: “Characterizing Fractures in the Geysers Geothermal Field by Micro-seismic Data, Using Soft Computing, Fractals, and Shear Wave Anisotropy. This is a joint project with Calpine Power Company and Laurence Berkeley National Laboratory. The presentation highlights some of the results of the project.
