Mahshad Samnejad, PhD candidate, presented a comprehensive study on ‘Fractured Rock Permeability Variations Evaluation form Seismic Velocity Changes using coupled simulation of flow, mechanics and fracture’ as part of her pre-qualifying exam. The current work is an effort to study variations occurring in the fractured rock permeability, and consequently pressure and stress distribution, as a result of production and injection activities using a coupled scheme of flow, mechanics, and fracture.
